My special is now streaming on @ネットフリックス! I can think of no better way to thank everyone for their kind words than sharing this portrait of my dad by @markseliger. Hope you all enjoy the special.

@anhquocn123 but it's so true. 2019 is a time of hyper sensitivity, some of it well warranted, some of it outlandish and subversive. Aziz was a victim of obvious deception, drama building, and racism. He didn't do anything that 100% of other people have done. If you aren't happy with something, but pretend that you are having a good time, and go along with it, but when you get home you talk a bunch of shit about the person and how miserable you were the whole time, you need to stop going out into the world and stay home. It's certainly no fault of the other person. We're not a fkng telepathic species. To blame someone else for your unvoiced, secretly hidden discomfort is asinine. Aziz would have done well to address this problem head on, because it's a problem for all of us, men and women. But Aziz kowtowed to the racist system that tried to end his career from an anonymous story no doubt posted by a third or fourth party to bring him down. He chose to go the humble penitent route. He's a class act. But the problem remains, and this is a win for racists, misandrists, and injustices.

Aziz is in the building! We are the same age man and I totally related and was moved by your analysis and, basically a mathematical breakdown, of the time we have left with our parents. I am one of those people that you mentioned, who only sees his folks twice a year at most. They are in their late 60s and while I am aware that their time on earth is getting shorter, I never thought about the limited number of times I’m ever going to see them and the fact that when I do see them, I pretty much do exactly what you described. It hit home brother. It made me really think. That was a revelatory moment in your art and I appreciate you very much for helping to open my eyes, and I’m sure many others feel the same way after watching that.

You did really well, Aziz. I just finished watching and had to find some way to tell you how great that was. You were well spoken, genuine-I could feel through the screen that you have learned and grown and I just melted watching your performance. Bravo. Thank you for a hilarious special and an earnest apology. A good man.

It was AMAZING to say the least. Fell in love with you all over again. Aside from the jokes, I’m grateful for your vulnerability and personnal insight. I laughed out loud for the first time in a while and your newly attained self awareness and wisdom have truly inspired me. I mean it when I say this: Thank You. ☺️

Not sure I’ve watched the same Aziz Ansari #netflix special, because I watched a predator mumble an apology which contained no empathy for his alleged victim, who then went on to normalise his behaviour via jokes about serial rapists, sex cult leaders and pedophiles. Didn’t even make it to the end. #azizansari

Dude, so good. So so good. You captured my full attention, and I don’t mean that in the small “I was off my phone” way. You captured my thoughts and had me on the edge of my seat to hear yours. Thank you for making this crafted, FUNNY ?, truthy piece. I hope you read these comments & feel the love. ?
