3 ways to connect baseball to the next generation ... 1) more celebration! Feel like players get put down for showmanship, bat swings after HRs ... in sports like soccer and football, players legit practice their goal and TD routines. It’s fun! 2) I know there is so much money on the line for team owners that they’d probably never agree to a shorter season ... I’m a die hard @mets fan. The seasons are long ? feels more at stake with shorter season (think football). 3) what’s a way to make the game feel less corporate? Is that possible? I see such a growing interest in hockey with my generation and younger kids cause the grit and passion of fans exists! The Mets @the7line is a great example of a core group of die hards. Other than that, you sometimes see people sitting right behind home plays on their phones all game rather than cheering, assuming they are corporate boxes, not die hards cheering their team on. Phew, long response! PS. Saw you girl @jlo at MSG tonight...KILLED IT!!!! ?????♥️

@arod I think teams do a lot to pull in kids and families with special fan appreciation gamedays. The Mariners have fireworks nights. We went to one last year and it was great fun! Planning which one to catch this go around. I do wish there was more opportunities for autographs or kids interacting with players. The single best thing for baseball, without a doubt, is to shorten the season! It goes on way too long! I'm 60 and think that, so you know kids today that are on computer games don't have the stamina to stay tuned for up to seven months of games! It's gotta be hard on players, not too mention fans. World Series W goes back to the Cubbies!❤⚾️?

Clever well written skits like the old sport-center commercials. Like when stackhouse mocks and laughs at trey wingo’s real name. Fund HS baseball, particularly in low income neighborhoods. Pay for the diamonds, the gear (baseball isn’t a cheap sport, kind of prices poor families out). Have a couple of celebrity softball games a year, mic everyone up and allow the schmoozing to charm new viewers who may only tune in to see a fav celebrity of theirs and play up how much fun you can have goofing around while playing a game. Have like a stand up comedian pro am, a players from other sports pro am and a TV/movie star proam and stream it free somewhere.

It doesn’t need to be more modern. Some things are classic and should remain classic. The game should remain pure. What needs to change is how people get to see it— the stadiums and tv should vamp things up to let the viewer experience more. Maybe a GoPro type camera on each player that can be tapped into so the viewer can choose to be a “player” and experience all the player does at the same time he does.

You gotta have more base runners to make it more exciting again, 60% of home runs are solo home runs these days, and the younger generation doesn’t wanna watch games where there are no base runners whatsoever. Another way would be shortening the length of the season, singular games don’t carry as much weight as they should so people aren’t watching singular games as often

It’ll be a great series between Yankees and Astros but I have Astros taking it and facing the Dodgers (RedSox fan by the way)....Dodgers in six
