The @USWNT is the only team to win four Women's World Cup titles. They are the only team to win 12 consecutive World Cup matches. The only team to score 26 goals in a World Cup, to win a game by the highest margin in victory.
But the numbers don’t lie. The prize for winning the Women’s World Cup is $30 million, $4 million of which will be awarded to the players. The men’s World Cup prize is $400 million, $38 million is doled out to the players. 14 million people watched the WWC final.
Another number worth mentioning? 1 million people showed up for their victory parade in New York City. As the Women's National Team cruised by on floats, the crowd roared out "Equal play! Equal pay!" why the comparison on men vs women World Cup- the main question we should ask is how many people view both world cups, which event advertisers spend more money on advertisements on and if you don’t like the amount of money being awarded to players - the players could be doing endorsement and business deals to leverage awareness of their personal brand.
