Wanna talk about disappointment in customer service, try buying a $260 Stradic Ci4+ (4000 series) spinning reel and fishing with it for 4 years and sending it in for a tune up/cleaning/repairs and getting told to pack sand by customer service. I was a life long Shimano customer and at this point I will never recommend there product again. I also lost $20 when I shipped it all the way to Irvine California WHERE THEY SERVICE AND REPAIR REELS. Unbelievable that they didn’t even wipe jt off when they shipped it back. I needed my handle replaced and line clip on my spool fixed, and I was told to send it all the way to (hillcountryreelrepair) in TEXAS, which will be another $20 in shipping PLUS PARTS. I’m almost positive the parts that I needed replaced are the exact same parts used on the Stradics they make still. Not to mention these reels are produced by the 1000’s, how hard would it really be to help a college kid out. Unbelievable @fish_shimano_north_america I expected better for the price I paid. I was trying to prepare for my king salmon trip August 20th by sending it in JUNE. Guess not.

In the 100ish price point I went with a Nasci over Daiwa’s Fuego LT because it has a 22lbs of drag, is sealed, and in general reeling was much smoother. It was lost in a river collision I replaced it as soon as I got back to town. Shimano is my go to brand for spinning reels. I felt naked without that

Should have left the speedmaster alone.....one of THE best light drag live bait king mackerel reels ever.....it doesn't need 2 speeds and 40lbs of drag..... that wasn't needed imo....should have done a basic upgrade and kept it close but a lil more upgrade than the original

I did R&D on these new Stradics and my clients caught over 1,500 Louisiana redfish on them in a two month period and no issues with the roller bearing. I tried breaking the reels myself and couldn't on big bulls. I think you will be very happy with the new Stradic.
