My mind was focused on the Olympics way too much and that's why I was so out of mental shape in Villars. This is not how I usually work and that's why I had to change the game. First thing was to think deep why am I so nervous before the lead competitions and the second thing was to go back to the mountains where my heart truly belongs. Already the mind change made a difference on my last World cup in Chamonix where I performed way better than in Villars and caught a solid 14th place in combined ranking. I'm leaving Chamonix with heart full of joy and happiness because I could escape to Aiguille du Midi south face, where I freed the route called "Super dupont" together with @kristoffer_klevern 🍻.

Right on Jernej! Great post. Comps are cool but the mountains are the heart of climbing. Sometimes I worry the Olympics are dumbing down what is great in climbing. 🔥🔥
