Thanks for the shoutout and for featuring this soup. It can be made with blackberries too. The Georgian style is different from Polish or Hungarian in that it’s more minimal—no sour cream or sugar. A wonderfully refreshing summer dish.

Where can I source sour cherries??? My local places only carry sweet, both in fresh and frozen. And I live in a large city, Memphis, TN. Maybe I am confused about what a sour cherry is. ?♀️

Is it Polish kind of soup perhaps? I remeber strawberry soup from Poland. It was not my cup of tea. On my first glance I thought you were presenting "barszcz".
