I can’t describe how much I will miss being a part of this team but I can say how extremely grateful I am for what the @hurricanesrugby club has given me. I’ve met some of my best mates for life and have had opportunities which enabled me to become the player and person I am today. Since 2011 I’ve loved my time in Wellington and have had some unforgettable memories with the Canes. Thanks to the players and management for everything and to the loyal supporters who turn up every week. I look forward to the next chapter and a new challenge at the @bluesrugbyteam

As a staunch canes supporter and some who believes in loyalty. I’m highly disappointed in this move. It’s one thing moving away from the canes but for that move to be to the blues. It’s like moving from Real Madrid to Barcelona, or the Rabbitohs to the Roosters. Whether it’s because of family or what there are always ways around it. I mean it’s a 2 hour return flight if you wanted to move to Auckland and half the season you’d be out of the country anyway. Sounds like your loyalty has a price.
