@latristesaint oop there it is. You literally just proved my point for me. “So it’s nice to have a store that caters to someone my size” Your. Exact. Words. Are. Exactly. What. Other. People. Would. Like. To. Feel. Other people want that in brandy clothing because yes, it is very nice clothing. You literally just explained it to yourself. Difference of opinion is fine. I’m for freedom of opinion and freedom of speech. The problem comes when people like you, and the girl who made the original comment (which by the way, was not talking about sizes. She doesn’t want poc here either), and the 2 other people who liked the comment, and the people who did none of the above but are thinking it— problem is when you get so used to being serviced and others being excluded that the prospect of inclusion makes you uncomfortable. If brandy had more sizes, and featured different people on their pages, how on earth would you be affected??? There’d still be the same small sizes for you???? Do you see my point ? You’re telling on yourself here. You literally would have nothing to lose if brandy had more sizes. You just DONT WANT TO SEE “YOUR BRAND” tainted by inclusion. And that’s the issue. That’s no “difference of opinion” that’s just hate

@latristesaint nah none of what you’re saying makes any sense hun. I said this about 10 seconds ago and I guess I have to say it again. No one is blaming the skinny girls on this page for the fact that they’re skinny. Go them. They’re beautiful girls. People would like to see girls who accurately represent who is buying brandy Melville’s clothing. Which include people above size 00. And the excuse “well there are stores for plus size people” is straight garbage. I don’t know of any stores that are the same style as brandy that cater specifically to plus size people. AND FINALLY thank you for conveniently dancing around my point about people of colour missing from this page and the US page. I know of so many black, brown, asian girls who buy from brandy, have great style, take great pics that fit the aesthetic, and are never seen on these pages. That’s a problem because this company sets out to ignore poc, yet their money is supporting the company. But go ahead and ignore that part

@hai_bailey_03 Not hard to find other brands huh? How bout you name a few, cause I’m curious. I’ve never seen any that are comparable. I think you might have selective memory too, cause I said it about 3 times. I’m not, and no one else is hating on the skinny girls. I’m a skinny girl. I recall saying “Go them. They’re beautiful girls” Do you remember that part? For the hundredth time, people want to see themselves reflected where their money is being spent. That’s not too much to ask for. And you’re right, my opinion won’t change the brand, but does that mean I’m gonna sit here and let people like you spew bs and pass it off as “an opinion”? Nah. Call it what you want but AGAIN like I said before, you would not and could not have anything to lose if brandy was more inclusive. You just want things to stay the way they are because you are the group that benefits from it. Just say you’re entitled and diversity makes you uncomfortable and gooooooo

@latristesaint the issue is with brandy Melville’s specific style. People like their clothing cause it’s cute and good quality but many people can’t wear it because their size range is non existent. That’s the issue. You can’t just throw those 2 stores at plus size ppl and say there’s your stores now stop complaining. What if they like Brandy’s style and want those clothes? Why is that so impossible to grasp ?

@hai_bailey_03 Aaaand the fact that you think ppl are making this too big of a deal speaks to exactly how privileged you are without realizing it. You have the luxury of being indifferent. Either way it goes you aren’t affected. You can’t see why it’s a big deal to others because you’ve never been on the receiving end of exclusion in this scenario. Reality check please.

@elenalawton there are so many places that carry sizes for plus-sized / curvy / average girls. (since this is the EU page idk if you're American) in america because we're so focused on being politically correct thin girls are bashed on so often because "they're setting a bad example for girls who aren't as slim as them"
