Okay... So..... What are we all thinking on this planet about history, mankind, civilization, religion, space, how about modern technology? Here's a device found on an ancient Shipwreck off the coast of Antikythera, Greece & dated around 100bc. Its more advanced than any watch mechanism in fact Hublot have made a model based on the Antikythera Mechanism (Google that) It reveals accurate portrayal & predixtions of the rotation of planets in our universe BUT was made at least 1600 years before the wealthy Medici family of Florence paid Galileo to prove the earth circled the sun not vice versa as was the religious belief at the time So news of Galileos discovery was shut down for 200 years by the Roman Catholic Church. My point being, what happened to all this ancient Greek, Mycenaean technology, surely it didn't self combust? Where are the earlier models & recorded historical information of this highly advanced mechanism? Why is the Wikipedia reference written so Ho Hum. Its like finding an ancient space shuttle in a cave. The powers that BE have subdued information, robbing us of advances that could vastly improve LIFE ON THIS PLANET. Is that not the goal of humanity? If it is not, then shouldn't we, the people, be asking more questions like "WTF?" & please if you forward a post to a friend today, forward this one. Es gab immer schon Hochkulturen. Erfolgreiche Operationen am Gehirn bei den alten Ägyptern ( die übrigens auch schon schimmeliges Brot auf Wunden legten und damit die Antibiotische Wirkung des Pilzes tausende Jahre eher entdeckten) im persischen Reich gab es selbstregierende Stadtstaaten in denen jeder Glaube erlaubt war , die Himmelsscheibe von Nebra...Mayas Inkas Griechen die Mauren auf der Iberischen Halbinsel die Glaubensfreiheit Wissen und Architektur mitbrachten... J.W. Goethe sagte : wer aus der Geschichte nichts lernt ist dazu verdammt sie nochmal zu durchleben. Die Menschheit entwickelte sich immer schon mal zu Hochkulturen, wurde groß, wissend, fortschrittlich und dann brach es wieder zusammen bis Jahrhunderte oder Jahrtausende später irgendwo wieder ein Neuanfang beginnt Warum ?

@manubennett happy to see you’re so passionate about@the human story. I really do not think we give humans enough credit in our history. Human history was not a nice linear build up from monkeys to hunter gathers to villages and cities. There were many bumps (extinction level events) along the way. It’s about time the mainstream knowledge took a back seat and we reassess the human story.

Personally my opinion is that during our ancient history humanity was far more advanced than we realise like I don’t know if u heard of it I think it’s called the Baghdad Battery it was battery dating back a thousand years I think I could be wrong u should google it’s really interesting

Knowledge is power. It’s easier to rule a populace that is ignorant. We - you, I, everyone here - have an obligation to ask questions. We must ask the questions from several different sources to know all solids to a story.

I think much of the ancient knowledge of the world was lost when the Romans burned the great library’s Alexandria.
I personally believe civilization is substantially older than Academia will admit.
