Your strongest memory of Apollo 11? "Looking back at Earth from a great distance." — Apollo 11 astronaut Michael Collins.
Collins, the command module pilot, remained aboard the spacecraft in orbit around the Moon, while Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin descended in the lunar module "Eagle" to the surface on July 20, 1969.
This historic Apollo 11 image was taken by the astronauts from lunar orbit. It's featured in the @ngadc "A Century of Lunar Photographs" exhibit, part of celebrations nationwide this week in honor of the 50th anniversary of the Moon landing.

Funny that so many nations and Entrepreneurs are investing billions into space exploration to help the future of mankind, all small steps for man and giant leaps for mankind, once we achieve these amazing feats, the flat earthers of this world should be denied any part in the future of the human race, kinda like me having no beliefs in god, if that theory turns out to be real I'll gladly banish into the depths of hell for my sins, flat earth theorists are a drain on progress just like the religions of the world over the last few thousand years, wake up

Serious question. We see the phases of the moon because the earth is in between the sun and the moon at night. So why, from the perspective of the moon, would we ever see nothing but a full earth as there is nothing between the earth and the moon large enough to obstruct the view? Secondarily, aren’t objects bigger closer to the horizon and then get smaller as the day goes on? Earth is obviously bigger than the moon, but the size of the earth seems too small for it to be at earthrise.

I wonder if you look both ways
When you cross my mind, I said, I said
I'm sick of, sick of, sick of, sick of chasing
You're the one that's always running through my daydream, I
I can only see your face when I close my eyes

You can see the earth is round for yourself if you go the museum. Before they had photoshop, before they had digital printing. You can see the color photography and the hard copy print on the wall for yourself.

I thought you guys said it would be impossible to get past the Van Allen Radiation belt. And it would be even more impossible to get past the belt with technology from the 60's
