You guys have been SO patient, and I PROMISE #weddingwednesdays will be coming back so soon!! H and I have been traveling so much and can’t wait for the next few weeks when we can rest and then begin the celebrations with our Bachelorette/Bachelor parties!!! BAHHH🤯 So beyond excited. Meanwhile, I just wanted to put some honesty out there today, so hang with me if you want to. ———
World Championships start on Sunday, and it has been such a blast seeing posts from everyone at training camp, and it truly makes my heart so happy to see how much fun my teammates are having. It also makes my heart sink to my stomach, because it hurts so much not being there. I never wanted to retire at 23. I had goals for three, four Olympics, for double digit medals, for so much more. With that being said, I am SO STINKING GRATEFUL for the time that I did have on the best team in the world, with the BEST people and for everything I was able to accomplish and experience with them. While I’m still working my way through this transition, I’m being patient with myself and filling my soul with gratitude for the most amazing years I had with Team USA, and that is something I will never, ever take for granted. I trust that God’s plan for my life is INFINITELY better than anything I could come up with on my own, as He has proven it to me time and time again. While it doesn’t always make things easier knowing that, it makes them intentional, purposeful, and temporary. GOOD LUCK to all my loves this upcoming week. I’ll be cheering so loud you’ll hear me from Korea❤️💙🇺🇸

INFINITELY BETTER! Amen sister, amen! I know this feeling on a much smaller scale, but I can totally relate. God’s plan for your is for a future full of hope! “And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.” Romans 5:4-5 NLT I can imagine this time is a bit rough for you, but just keep pressing on in love!!! You’re a wonderful example and I respect how you use your platform to bring forth the truths of the Lord! ❤️

Missy, your contribution to swimming is measured by so much more than your medals. The positivity and light that you have instilled in so many people young and old is a gift. A gift you have given to the rest of the world. You have inspired so many. Yes, swimmers including mine. But so many more see you as the kind of person they want their kids to grow up like. Keeping your chin up through the tough times and remaining so grounded and grateful in the golden moments. Congrats on all you have done and all that you will do!

Missy, sounds like you are struggling, which totally makes sense! Athletes fly so high so fast and so young, during the descent there is not a lot of life experience to cushion and give perspective. Your accomplishments have been so great, And the ones to come will be just as exciting if not more so.Your life force will come out in new ways that may surprise you. Keep living in loving, #gobears

Your life has taken a turn. For that you will end up in a place you never ever would be if your swimming career had continued. As much as it hurts, gifts abound. Find each one. What beautiful authentic honesty. So many people who are reading his are probably feeling simplistic thoughts in their situations. Your not alone. This reminds me of @lysaterkeurst book It’s Not Supposed To Be This Way. God is bigger than any of our situations. I’m routing for you! God’s got big plans for you!!!
