For the past days I haven’t been feeling well physically and I made a doctors appointment to check my stomach because the intense feeling of butterflies has been killing me. Today I have found out it’s my first proper (real) experience with anxiety and what struck me was the amount of DMs I was getting from you guys who have made similar experiences and are familiar with feeling anxious. I read into it and I got a lot of insights from you (which honestly made me feel so so much better because in my head I was picturing myself seriously ill) and it’s not surprising I am feeling this way because obviously mind and body are closely connected. I want you to share your best strategies of coping with anxiety (sometimes meditation is not enough) so everybody who is affected can read this post and hopefully feel better soon. I send you all the love I have and I want to remind you (and selfishly me) that it’s a phase which too shall pass. ❤️

Instead of intense workouts, I suggest stretching exercises. It helped me a lot. Just dedicate an hour or two for stretching every inch of your body, it loosens up the muscles and all those nerve blocks??♀️ At the worst moments, don’t forget to breathe, be present - monitor your surroundings and keep in mind that your health is not in real danger. Write all the thoughts and feelings down on the paper every day, in this way it is easier to cope with all the buzz in your head. Hope all of you, who suffer from anxiety, find what works best for you. Get well soon?❤️

Its often like that very smart (I mean higly smart as you are) have to deal with anxieties as they are strongly aware of all possibilities that may happen (because all options are present in an Instant). But what those people often forget in these times is that they actually know all the options that might happen and with that all varieties of strategies to cope with whatever will happen. So you got all strings in your hand. No surprises possible in that case. Thats always a thought that keeps me calm. Hope this is also a thought that may help you... @xeniaadonts

Something I always do when I have that feeling is learn. I just learn something new. Anything - it takes your mind off of “you” for a few minutes and if you are distracted and focused on something new and exciting. Could be anything - like watching a video about how to do something you’ve never understood or known, etc.. anything new that excites you?

put away the damn phone and don’t document everything you see, hear, think. set up a screentime for your social media apps, stay in that amount of timeframe on a daily basis and don’t think you will miss anything here. you obviously need to rest. your health is more important than your phone. get well soon ?

❤️?? Stomach pains reflect troubled minds I believe in meditation and the use of the right daily affirmations can help. Louise L Hay had made this list which says depending on the bodily pain the negative thought associated and the positive one to replace it with. Try it ?

What helped me get rid of anxiety was this Japanese therapy called Reiki. I totally recommend it. I found someone that incorporated Reiki and cognitive therapy and it was a big help. Reiki alone can also help. Hope you feel better soon
