In the US, there isn't a single commercial airport named after a woman, but one grassroots campaign is hoping to change that. A group in California is seeking to rename Oakland International Airport after Maggie Gee, an American aviator who was a member of the Women Airforce Service Pilots in World War II, aka WASPs. Gee, who died in 2013, was one of two Chinese-American aviators in the group, and after the war she became a physicist. (📸: Harmon Family)
