Do NOT push stranded marine mammals back in the water. Call proper authorities and await instructions or their arrival. These people were incredibly lucky they were not hurt from thrashing whales. Improper pushing back, can do more damage to the animals. It is okay to “right” the animal, so it’s blowhole is above water and it can breathe, but they need to be examined by a trained team prior to trying to refloat

Sorry I dont know how to hot link it. Anyway The Today show said “pilot whales often beach themselves because they are highly social animals” these animals were committing suicide instead of being tortured.

Wait, are these experts, should they be doing this or should an expert decide how to handle this crisis, I know they meant well but what is protocol in such a situation?
