You’ve all heard the stat that by 2050 there’ll be more plastic than fish in the ocean. Trying to eliminate single-use plastic is something we should all be making a conscious effort to do more of.

adypowell57 Have hated plastic all along so have done my best to avoid it for over 30yrs. Made my own calico bags for shopping and my kids who are 31 & 29 never wore disposable nappies as babies (and they were available). Had I known then how dire the plastic problem would become down the track I would have been so much louder in fighting it's use in everything. But it's never too late and I'm still fighting it now.

jackeliobrien Hi Kevin. This might appeal to you. One of my favourite scriptures is Rwvelations chapter 11 verse 18. Where it says God will bring to ruin those ruining the Earth. That will be a happy time because the only way to fix this problem is to fix the sort of mentality driving mad men and women to ruin our beautiful home!

jemmlands51 @adypowell57 my kids never had disposable nappies i had 2 under 2 and i loved to see a line full of washed nappies... no its never to late... i may never see a change in my lifetime but hopefully we can teach our children and grandchildren so there is still something left for them

tanya_marie_barlow I think it would be great if you could just purchase a reusable bottle in shops and the actual shops have a cold water dispenser for you to fill you bottle at a cheaper price than buying a plastic water bottle already filled..
