Am I doing this right?
A Recruit with Papa Company, 4th Recruit Training Battalion, conducts swim qualification at the Combat Swim Tank on @mcrdparrisisland. The recruits must be able to shed combat load underwater, swim and float in full utilities, and jump from the tower to pass. (U.S. Marine Corps Photo by Lance Cpl. Christopher McMurry)

I am not going to debate the reality of women serving in the military. I will debate this picture looks to be photoshopped. Whether or not doesnt matter. Those women on the right side of the picture doesnt matter. Her clothes are a different color than all the others shown. It looks like a child just practicing photoshop & this is the first attempt.

She needs to step off the platform with a smooth, 30 inch stride. Bring your trailing leg forward during the fall. Cross your trailing leg behind your leading leg. Keep your head parallel to the waters surface until hitting the water. You can read more on water survival if you read MCRP 8-10B.6 Marine Corps water survival. Just keep swimming. ?

This proves that even Marines with PTSD are startled and jump out of control. ?????? Semper Fi.

I had trouble getting to the surface. My boots were too heavy, I was too thin. But, I made it.
