Beyoncé’s new album ‘Lion King: The Gift’ host some familiar collaborators like Jay-Z and Pharrell. But the track list also includes stars from Nigeria, Ghana and South Africa who rarely get exposure in the U.S. Tap the link in our bio to read why the superstar’s new direction could add a new challenge.

@rollingstone please delete that line about African artists rarely getting exposure in the U.S. - not only is it inaccurate, it’s also offensive. While we appreciate that Beyoncé has joined in on the appreciation and celebration of our sound, to suggest that if not for Beyoncé, certain artist would “rarely” get exposure is a massive reach and discredits the brands that they’ve all worked very very hard to successfully achieve both at home and abroad. Both Burna boy and Mr Eazi performed at Coachella. Tekno writes and produces not only for himself but Davido as well, another Afrobeat artist.... who’s charted top 20 on billboard. Tiwa Savage is signed to roc nation.. All of this is to say, language sets the tone. Please check your facts first before you make certain statements.

Is it a soundtrack? I wish they would have kept the original “Circle of Life” ? song or remade it. Not completely change to new lyrics. Just my opinion ??♀️

Original is always better! Hollywood is just not creative anymore they are remaking all the movies and doing Disney animation movies into real life. ?

Though I can sense identity politics in the background of the text, the content being about music is a nice change of pace.

If they only put half the effort in songwriting as they did in her LK music video...
