The area receives only 11 inches of precipitation each year and was measured to be the quietest of the U.S. National Parks in the contiguous 48 states. The park also contains the Sangre de Cristo Mountains with six peaks over 13,000 feet. Sand temperatures can reach a blistering 140 degrees Fahrenheit during hot summer days and dunes are up to 750 feet high. You r welcome to Kazakhstan, Visit to Altyn Emel National park in Almaty region also have sanging dune, have Charyn Canyons which abt 164 km and Forest lake Kayndi. do you know them?

I was just there. Zapata Falls is not far away and a complete 180 from the sand dunes. Sand 100+, water 32 maybe....

Been there multiple times. Sometimes there are little lakes/ponds/bodies of water and the bottoms of the dunes ?
