Now that the elephant in the room is out, I wanted to thank everyone who reached out with overwhelming support.
Stepping out of the game is never easy for any athlete, we are never comfortable leaving our comfort zone. But I did it, I and I feel great.
After dealing with a TFL injury and the consequent relapses every time I tried to get back at it, my mind couldn’t handle it anymore. I decided to see the big picture in my life and seek other opportunities that will hopefully make me as happy as golf did once.
Be brave my friends, life is a wonderful gift! 🥂cheers to some new adventures for me!

Ya que salí del armario, quiero aprovechar para agradecer a toda la gente que se ha tomado su tiempo para no solo mandarme mensajes de apoyo, si no también felicitarme. Definitivamente, ha sido una ola de mensajes de apoyo que nunca olvidaré!
No es fácil para ningún atleta abandonar el deporte competitivo, a nadie nos gusta salir de nuestra zona de comfort. Nos dan miedo los cambios, sobre todo cuando toda la vida te identifican como algo, en mi caso Belén la golfista. Ahora arranco un mundo nuevo, donde quizás tenga que encontrar mi nueva identidad. Pero si os soy sincera, tengo muchas ganas! Durante mucho tiempo lo he pasado regular, y tengo ganas de descubrir nuevas aventuras que me hagan disfrutar como lo hice con el golf. Gracias de corazón!
