I have been fortunate enough to have spent a lot of time over the years in the magnificent Bornean rainforest, a realm filled with miracles big and small. This forest is estimated to be at least 130 million years old, making it one of the oldest rainforests in the world (and twice as old as the Amazon). Borneo is extremely rich in biodiversity, providing habitat for about 15,000 known species of flowering plants, and more than 3,000 tree species, 221 terrestrial mammal species, and 420 bird species. It is essential for mankind to save these remarkable ecosystems to secure global stability and resilience. To do that, we can support rainforest conservation and try to avoid products containing uncertified palm oil.
