At Lush, we're comfortable using Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) as it has an excellent safety record and has been used as a shampoo ingredient since the 1930s. That said, we believe in being a transparent company which is why we list our ingredients quantitively on our products so that our Lushies can make their own informed decision. We do know that some of our Lushies prefer to live their lives sulfate-free, and we've been working on finding an alternative.
