aurorabath @brianmayforreal The world was forever changed by the Apollo 11! As I see it, we we're all one that day we were just human beings regardless of race or nationality or color or gender... nothing mattered except our species was one. Watching those Moon launches in school when I was really young we're completely transformative for me. ( too young to remember the landing unfortunately have no recollection of that :( Also my parents met while working General Electric on the Gemini Project. Dad used to go down to Cape Canaveral from time to time . I totally wanted to be an astronaut growing up even took flying lessons for a while and both brother and father were in the Air Force. this 50th Anniversary has been everything to me! Brought back the old excitement :)

janapayne1 I live in Huntsville the “Rocket City” Alabama, home of NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center and then director Dr. Wernher Von Braun. Not many people realize the huge role this Alabama town had in Apollo 11. We’ve been partying for weeks. My parents took us to the big splash down parade here July 24 1969. im_lonely_for_real <3 I watched Apollo 11 a few days ago (it's a documentary about the moon landing) It was so good! I wasn't around the day it happened, but I find that along with space in general very fascinating and amazing. ALso, for bonus points, the moon landing was the day after my grandpa's birthday
