After the final Apollo lunar mission returned home in 1972, @NASA’s crewed #space program pursued much narrower goals. But now, writes Jeffrey Kluger, there is a renewed focus on lunar dominance. Vice President Mike Pence, head of the newly re-established National Space Council, announced in March that the #Trump Administration would put Americans on the #moon by 2024. And how did we manage to vertically land the “Eagle” in 1969, yet musk and Bezos only recently managed to vertical land a rocket here on Earth. I don’t understand.
