"By far, one of my favorite evenings of photography in a very, very, long time. It all took place in a magical area of Utah. I will not disclose this location however, due to the nature of this photograph in which Abby is depicted near the edge of a very large drop off. I don’t need to be responsible for encouraging others to copy this shot! Now while this may look insanely dangerous (which it can be whenever you’re near any drop off), @abbygomer was much further from the actual edge than it appears. The shelf she is standing on wraps behind the edge with plenty of walking space and a nice little trail to get there. It’s all about perspective.

Ok, back to the experience of this evening and what made it so amazing. First off, the views are “holy freaking cow!” The weather was beautifully warm and the sunlight was scrumpshish. Also, this composition worked out to be an absolute stunner, so there was that added element of “I can’t believe I’m capturing this right now!” going through my head. I may have even said this at least 20 times out loud. After photographing this spot around the start of golden hour, we saw another composition a few hundred yards further down the canyon rim that caught our eyes. -
Therefore, we decided to scout for a nice sunset composition to wrap up the evening. Little did we know, we were in for one heck of a light and color show. Take in the views from the photo above, and admire how stunningly epic Abby looks standing on top of the world." 🇺🇸

kimriley65 You can see a face in the rock under the ledge she is standing on. It looks like it's admiring the view also.
