I painted this picture for a solo exhibition at the Pola Museum Annex in Ginza in 2011.
It was right after the Great East Japan Earthquake.
I was wondering what the use of painting was.
My heart sank and I cried every day.
However, the people who came to my exhibition said, "I feel better." and "My heart has calmed down." which encouraged me.
This large painting was set up at an international school in Hiroshima Prefecture.
I'm so happy that many children can see this picture.
東日本大震災のすぐ後、2011年4月に開催された銀座のポーラミュージアムでの個展用に描いた5メートルの山の絵が、広島県のインターナショナルスクールのダイニングに設置されました。
夢をたくさん持った子供たちの笑顔溢れる場所に飾ってもらえること、とても嬉しいです。
