There is nothing iconic about boring. I recently shot at Marylin Monroe’s house and it had such an interesting feeling, certain places you shoot have a feeling, I am not saying it was like she was there but what I mean is there was something in the air, same feeling I got when I shot at Hearst Castle there’s a magic to it a presence in the air, that to me is the definition of iconic, when you are such a fascinating person even a place you lives 50 years before still has a presence. I have included 10 different photos of 10 different woman who at times have all done interesting and epic shoots for me. If you could ask Marylyn one question what would it be?

When I was young I went to a girls only religious school, I remember in 8th grade we got an assignment to pick an iconic, powerful woman who you want to tell her story. All 31 girls chose either woman from the bible or from our history book. I chose Marilyn Monroe. I remember I was called to the principal's office and there was a big debate if they would even grade my essay. At the end they graded it, and I remember my teacher when she handed it back to me she said, "it was an A+ essay, but I couldn't give that grade to an essay about Marilyn Monroe.. till this day I ask myself what made me choose her? I knew it would be controversial slash punishable.. I think deep down I related to her energy, and presence. And mostly how she made people uncomfortable. I like that.

That’s an incredible thought. Though we have made so many advances in life and technology 50 years later, it seems still that very few women will leave such an impact as she has. Though all of these shots are still epic 😍

Love it, that wonderful feeling you just can’t quite explain but can only feel - I do see it, in your wonderfully, expressive style, though. I would ask Marilyn, when was she the happiest -
