Is my child going to camp or rehab? Anyone else sending their kid to camp that feels like they’re sending them to rehab? Why is that kids don’t want to leave the home anymore?

zep2_bowl Well, the only thing about kids playing a LOT of video games is this, think about it peps. (I never thought this until now). Our world is changing FAST, everyday and it is so electronically needed to advance down the road. Times change and what we needed to learn in school is now obsolete. What they teach in school is nothing like what I was taught. So for the first time in my life I am saying, videos can be good to some extent. Ok there I really said this..lol

teebeeatkins @heathermcdonald my 12yr old had an open fire backyard bbq with his mate while I was at work....so I’m sending him to camp next school holidays so I don’t have to worry about him burning the neighborhood down. He asked if its a punishment? I said ‘no, camp is awesome....but it’s more of a reward for me, for surviving these past 2 weeks’ 🤣🤣🤣

paulettecercega OMG! It’s so true! I took my kids to visit their grandmother at the beach last week and my oldest boy (12) was like, “Can you ask Grandma if I can bring my xBox?” I actually let him. But we couldn’t get it to work. LOL! You would’ve thought we were waterboarding him for five days. 😂

sherrystofle My son would call me at work and say can you bring me lunch. I of course would explain how that was not possible and I could not be home for several hours. When he became an adult, he told me he did that so he knew when I would be home so he could do things I might not approve of.

gigikhan My son is 8 and never wants to leave the house ! We live at the beach all summer. Today I literally had to get him dressed and yell at him to go on the boardwalk and rides. I’m like wth is happening here!!! I loved to go out and do things when I was a kid. ?

kvbrown1046 My two boys started golf camp when they were about 7 and 9. It was two or three weeks long. They loved it and continued til they were about 15. Needless to say they came out good golfers and as adults they love to play!
