Magnum photographer @jeromesessini will be leading the first in a series of professional practice workshops taking place in Tbilisi, Georgia, during the opening weekend of @tbilisi_photo_festival in September.

The two-day masterclass is aimed at enhancing and defining your documentary style and practice. During the workshop you will learn about the mechanisms behind editorial commissions, the art market, gain insights on how to publish a photobook and make connections with other photographers.

This weekend will be led by @jeromesessini (Magnum photographer), Jeroen Kummer (Co-founder and Creative Director of Kummer & Herrman), Katarzyna Sagatowska (Curator, photographer, and lecturer) and Sonia Jeunet (Education Manager and producer, Magnum Photos).

shanedante How does one become a Magnum photographer? Are you only respected having come from a fancy school? Does one need to shoot in film and be a hipster? Do I need to work in Photojournalism? What steps dies one take. I'm a self taught country boy who's been shooting for 4 yrs now. The camera is not hard to learn. Seeing things others don't is very natural for me. My peers say I'm incredibly talented. But I can't pay my bills. ?

rachedi.y Thecname of the serie is solitude! I really love what this photographer do, specialy the work that he did in IRAK in the periode of war with the us. Great job keep on, thanks for sharing
