I had planned to post pictures of a bunch of happy, smiling faces and I promise to do that tomorrow, because you need to see all the cuteness 🤗 But first I need to ask for your prayers, for this beauty specifically, and for all the kids, teens and young adults that we love in the D.R.
They are joyful, and fun, but make no mistake they are dealing with some tough things, things that no teenager should have to worry about, they all make hard decisions every single day to follow God in the midst of circumstances that make the other way seem easier, even if only for that moment.
There are so many things they have no control over, but they are not powerless! Far from it!! God is laying big things on their hearts, and with Him NOTHING is impossible. I’ve seen that this week with my own eyes. God uses those we might least expect. He loves to surprise us with redeeming the hardest of stories, in our own lives and in the lives of others. Never give up on anyone!
This was not meant to be a pitch for you to give money, but now that I’m to the end of writing it, I think I would be negligent if I didn’t invite you into seeing God at work here. I see the point of it, but I feel like the United States of America still need a lot of help (it may not look like it, but there are FAR too many homeless people ESPECIALLY VETS) and I feel like our county needs to be attended to as priority beforehand, then we can focus our immense power and etc as the great nation we are to help those people (just my opinion, but as the say goes “how can you help others if you cannot first help yourself?” which is meant to illustrate that fact that you have a hand to help others and a hand to help yourself, but how can you help others with 100% of yourself if you cannot help yourself?).

Praise God! How special! I work with student ministry and my heart is so often broken, yet amazed! There are so many heartbreaking stories and I adopted 3 of those very children myself so I know their struggle, but getting to see the power of God in a broken life is indescribable! If everyone knew how much joy it brought no kid would ever be lonely again! I’m in awe that I get to be used by God even a little!

@bosshogswife My family goes to the DR every year with @25projectorg. What a joy it is to spend a short week loving on the beautiful children there. I love seeing your posts about the DR and your love for these people is so evident.

Had our first of many missions trip to the DR in May. It was life changing and God speaks to you in the best way when your loving on others as we are told too like Jesus did. #handsandfeetofJesus
