intelligence_is_a_lonely_place @kornelia1970 are you a songwriter? You don’t understand. If someone puts all their energy into touring, there’s no waking up at 3 a.m. with an idea. You just don’t have any concept of how much freedom is needed to write a song. Sting wrote most of his hits while his kids were still growing up, when he still actually had TIME to write. These days, famous singers and bands are expected to tour even if they don’t yet have an album! Especially ones with grown kids and grandkids. Guess who gets most of the money? The record company. There is less incentive to put out new songs, therefore.
