Maybe I spend too much time on my hair, maybe that energy could be spent on something else, perhaps something more important? In the final analysis I know I keep my hair pretty because it’s my job and the people like it and they keep me happy, not always but most of the time. For example today I read about the community in Nashville, neighbors forming a human shield around a family being bullied and threatened extra-legally by ICE agents. Those are some damn good people.

First I want to say that I love your work, your hair, and the inspiration you’ve given so many trans people. But I have to admit that I’m deeply conflicted by this post. On the one hand, you rightly raise awareness about a humanitarian crisis that has deeply affected and divided Americans, but then you disingenuously conflate a comparison to your hair. I’m sorry, but this is troubling to me. To IN ANY WAY compare a human life to good hair feels dismissive and shallow, and I am certain that wasn’t your intent. My advice, not that you’re asking, would be to keep your social awareness posts separate from your beauty and personal career posts. 💕

You can’t help it if you were born beautiful and you are smart enough to find a way to make a living utilizing this gift. Beside you do use you voice to speak on things that matter and to educate the masses. You good Sis inside and out and you’re right, you’ve got damn good hair! Go Kerastase! Maybe I should try it! HA!
