The Duke met patients and their families during a visit to Sheffield Children’s Hospital’s new 72-bed wing which he officially opened.  The wing includes four new wards, therapy rooms, a patient dining room, a parent relaxation room, a teen hangout room and Play Tower.  The next stop was to Sheffield Hallam University where The Duke learnt about academics and student's commitment to using applied learning to address challenges in society, from a Virtual Reality rehabilitation project, which uses technology to make it easier for amputees to train themselves to use prosthetic limbs to the development of innovative new technology to provide alerts and assistance to field staff working in inhospitable and dangerous parts of the world.  Lastly The Duke visited the Invictus UK Trials where he watched Wheelchair Basketball, Powerlifting and Swimming Competitors before meeting their friends and family.  The trials form part of the selection process for the team representing the UK at the forthcoming #invictusgames The Hague 2020 which will see over 350 wounded, injured or sick servicemen and women compete in up to nine sports. 📷Press Association」7月27日 0時14分 - theroyalfamily
