My biggest insecurity to this very day is my skin.

It pisses me off because i know the reason I get insecure is because of toxic beauty ideals, photoshopped images and hearing other people talking negatively about “bad skin” aka some breakouts which is totally normal!
Soooo let’s flight back with pledging to LOVE OUR SKIN.

From this day forward I pledge to stop calling my skin bad, to stop covering it to mask myself because I feel I’m not good enough otherwise.
I pledge to stop retouching my skin and embrace my imperfections, because I’m beautiful just the way I am.

timothyeaton1000 As someone who had Breakouts throughout my 20's and early 30's, I know how it makes you feel. You can feel them. You are Conscious of them. And they make you lose Confidence in yourself. But when I see a Girl with a few Breakouts, I actually find it endearing. It means she is like me. Guys don't generally cover up their Breakouts with Make Up, so we have to Face the World Full On, with all the Insecurities it brings. If I knew then what I know now, I would have been less Self Conscious of it, and a more Confident Person. But you often can't see the Wood for the Trees when you are in it. I'm so pleased you are publicising this. It sounds Silly at first. But it's actually far more significant to our Sense of Self and our Happiness and Confidence than many are honest enough to admit. Love to you and your Breakouts ! Be Happy with the Real You ! 💖💖💖

totooooooro I quit makeup last winter and my skin got cleaner and it looks a lot healthier. Stop filling your pores with garbage every day! Let it breathe, let it be just skin, not a thing that should be hidden! You will start loving yourself more after you quit makeup. @iskra we should also try this to our hair like “no heat for a week”, and maybe also you could start a challenge “no heels for a month” ?

carasmith95 Woohoo! I have not been wearing makeup to work for the past 3 months and I've noticed my skin has significantly been better. Less breakouts & cleaner pores. My eyelashes have also been heathier from not using mascara! No makeup will make you appreciate your skin and you'll like more it after you allow it to be healthy

zuleykha45 Great idea!!! To tell the truth i've been thinking about it for 1.5year. And now i try not to use it at all. It is more comfortable without make up, i mean your skin can breathe!!! Moreover I began to love myself after i've seen you! So thanks a lot! Good luch with no make up week! I am also in!!!! ???

bec_kristin @iskra I have been #foundationfree since May 20th ?? I could have written this post about my skin OMG!!!!! And I have honestly NEVER felt so good about it as to when I decided NO MORE covering it up with foundation/makeup. It is what it is & does not define us ?
