A Haiku is a poem written by a Buddha that contains a key to Enlightenment within very few words. Again, naming my craziest kid after a Master that asks you to jump into Eternity never to return was very accurate of Papa Bear. Haikus, just like every true Sacred Scripture can only be understood Existentially by someone that has transcended the mind, logically and/or philosophically, they can be understood by almost everyone, but only a Buddha will understand them Existentially because he or she is the living testament of that Haiku or Sacred Scripture. There are some statues of Buddha laying down on his side holding his head with his hand, you know what he is doing? He is waiting for you to jump, he’s on the other side waiting for you to take that leap. Literally. From being to not being, that’s what that jump represents. And the Buddhas from the past, present and future have been waiting for you to jump. Eventually, you’ll make the jump, it’s unavoidable, so why wait? You’ve been here for countless lives postponing it, but the joke has to end at some time. The pond represents Infinity, the Frog, you, and the plop is just the sound left behind. A Buddha is not a person but a presence, the body is just the inertia of habit waiting to fall, but the ultimate has realized itself once again.
