Key word “allowed”..... We don’t know how good we have it.... We are ALL standing on the shoulders of those who really had it hard and pushed that line and shed blood so that we can be here in this place and moment..... We still have a lot more to do but what a blessing it it to be here!

Just because something is “better” doesn’t mean it’s good. It’s 2019 and the fairer the color of our skin the fairer life is made for us and that is not what is considered having it good, that’s just a different level of injustice, racism, and abuse. As a human with white skin, it makes me seethe and sick to my stomach the way our race is held to lower expectations but greater reward, the way we aren’t profiled for certain crimes but when we are guilty and convicted we receive a much more relaxed sentence. I know this isn’t 100% of the time because yes we can all name examples but when we compare side by side the evidence is indisputable. The world won’t have it great until we see one another by the strength of our hearts instead of the color of our skin.

Demanded righteousness can b a small unyielding voice......from the right people of the time.. The 21st century’s unyielding voices of major tech companies like Apple and Microsoft, food companies like Kellogg, and Nestle, service companies like Hilton andMarriott and Hyatt need to know regular everyday people MOVE their stock needle....not the government!!!! I don’t care how many tax cuts they get!!! That TINY American island of Puerto Rico brought that local/state government to its’ knees!!! We can learn to do the same!!!

those who stood their ground, and fought the fight, and laid down their lives, so that others like us walk free today, we must keep up the fight, hold the ground won for us, never give up the war against discrimination, so that their sacrifice for our freedom, will not be wasted and in vain

Imagine a world where Ella Fitzgerald wasn’t able to be heard. I don’t think music would be as good today if she wasn’t able to share her voice.
