We are proud to announce that Her Royal Highness, The Duchess of Sussex is the Guest Editor for the September issue of @British Vogue. For the past seven months, The Duchess has curated the content with British Vogue's Editor-in-Chief Edward Enninful to create an issue that highlights the power of the collective. They have named the issue: “Forces for Change”
For the cover, The Duchess chose a diverse selection of women from all walks of life, each driving impact and raising the bar for equality, kindness, justice and open mindedness. The sixteenth space on the cover, a mirror, was included so that when you hold the issue in your hands, you see yourself as part of this collective. The women on the cover include:

@ Meghan: 9 of the 15 women you chose are rich actors/celebrities/models. A little bit overrepresented, don’t you think? Surely they have an inspiring life but are they all really role models? Where are the scientist, doctors, female activists, inventors, researchers, artists, teachers?
Maybe I’m biased as a doctor, as you are as an actor. Have you heared about Dr. Liu from Doctors without borders or Prof. Arnold, nobel prize winner?
To her haters: come on, she is a member of the spoiled royal family, they didn‘t contribute anything to the world, so perfect match! You have to admit that she is far more interesting then Kate.
And last but not least to all who say this is plagiarism! Come on this is not a doctoral thesis 😂 why not use/copy an idea that worked before?;) that is common in Arts.

The September issue of British Vogue will no doubt have bumper sales due to the involvement of the Duchess and her promotion of strong and successful women. Will Vogue be donating a percentage of this extra income to a charity? This is a sincere question. Just seems like a great win-win opportunity. Maybe some funds could go to helping women who are victims of domestic violence? Or who are so poor they struggle to survive and/or are homeless? Vogue magazine is symbolic of a world of privileged affluence. Maybe this is an opportunity for it to help ‘share the wealth’ in some way? Would be happy to know this has already been organised. Just haven’t seen any mention of it yet.

There seems a total lack of thought, depth and originality applied to this article (despite being 7 months in the making). And the fact that Vogue was also chosen as the 'platform' is also really concerning. I mean, did MM even meet with these people in person before selecting them, or just phone calls and emails? It would have carried so much more weight if normal / everyday people (men and women) were the focus. I have much more respect for an individual who persists and fights for a cause they believe in, without fame or fortune as a stepping stone. To me, they are the real warriors for this earth and humanity (the real forces of change).

stunning how many people with negative comments before they had the possibility to read the articles 🙄...i would have chosen too other women for the cover, but i am curious enough to wait and read why Meghan chose these women. I admire her for standing up for her own opinions and values even if it means negative press and reactions... she is not the future queen who has to stay rather neutral. in my opinion she is a very good addition to the Royal Family and brings a lot of ‚fresh air‘ and diversity to it 😍. we don’t need to criticize every step she does just because we would do it different 😉

Keep your head up Megan & Harry cause people are just hateful cause they don't have nothing going on for themselves & there true colors are coming out just sit and watch. Who cares if it's not British.....sooooo what, no one was saying nothing when others in the royal family did a magazine but cause Megan did it they wanna cry. Grow up people & it's a amazing and beautiful magazine so Harry protect her & you guys keep doing amazing things. Megan always keep your head up no matter what & speak your mind, be true to yourself and your causes, once again GREAT JOB🙂
