We have liftoff!! 4 summers we have tried to teach this kid to ride a bike and we finally succeeded. He just wasn’t interested before and didn’t care how many of his friends took off on 2 wheels. He would barely ride with training wheels so he never got the feel. These videos probably aren’t very exciting unless you know Tucker but his little “don’t you want to hug me” and the silly phrases “i want to be impressive” and determination are amazing to me! #ItsLikeRidingABike

@melissajoanhart please help us purchase an adapted trike for our 6 year old son who has gone through two major surgeries this year including total bilateral hip reconstruction. No child should miss out on these joys 💕 thank you xo. https://www.gofundme.com/f/support-for-garnett-and-family?sharetype=teams&member=1691340&rcid=r01-156443954791-0e5d62aa92b244fb&pc=ot_co_campmgmt_m

As a parent this made me cry bc it took me back to 2 years ago when my first son finally got it! 2 summers of practicing, he hates when u know something that he doesn’t so he didn’t want our help. He wanted to figure it out on his own. Now we take family bike rides and he loves being able to ride with us. Such a milestone for kids! 😍😍 bravo!! Good job little dude 🚴🏻♂️

My Tucker is 6yo and is the same way. Doesn’t care if all the kids in the neighborhood are taking off on their bikes. We keep trying because we want to go on family bike rides. I have sneaking suspicion that when his younger brother steps up to the plate to ride that may be our impetus.

I've got an almost eight year old who's the same- doesn't want to learn and barely rides with training wheels. His four-year-old sister will probably learn before him! Any special reason he wanted to do it this year?

Tucker is going to love the freedom of the open driveway and the wind blowing through his hair! He might as well grow his hair long and get some awesome patches on a leather vest because you can't handle this freedom!

Great Job Tucker!!! My son is similar, he does things in His time, when he's ready to learn it, but always does it, and does it well. Feels good to watch your child persevere, and accomplish what he's trying to do.
