A few weeks ago, we showed acupuncture as one of the ways of treating injuries. Acupuncture is part of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) which has mostly preventive character and it is one of the key elements that help me to stay fit on the top of the game. Let's take a closer look at what might be seen as a very controversial thing by many people.

Yet you are claiming i was talking about science has it's limits and i wrote accupuncture helped me with a simple health problem which was tweaking my Back so a neve got stuck somewhere yet i walked ön my own feet tó the nearest health care center where western doctors were unable to helped me and when they were so even sent me to psychiatry so i went to this ear accupuncture specialist who solved my Back problem in 3 sessions... and i am not the only one... And yet you claim it' s placebo in which i do not believe because it is not very scientific... I do not say accupuncture is good for every possible health isdue but it can be very effective. Back in the day people laughed az scientists because at the time there was no technology to prove it... So ? Do you have any proof for the uneffectiveness of accupuncture? Because i have for it's affectiveness.

Acupuncture and TCM is not science based and the best clinically controlled studies to date show that acupuncture is no better thank fake acupuncture, basically it does not work! TCM is also responsible for the death and trafficking of endangered species. Politely put is is quackery! At best it is just a placebo and at worst people are endangering themselves be turning down real medical treatment for quack treatment! It is always really disappointing to see sport men and women promoting this sort of this as they are in a position of influence and should be more responsible than this!

So long as you are checking that "herbal remedies" are absent of animal products and derivatives, you do you. Please note that the labelling is regularly in Latin or uses archaic terminology that obscures what you are consuming. Be aware and mindful. If you are unsure, please ask someone with knowledge of this market - including me. I worked to combat the illegal wildlife trade and extensively researched TCMs over the last two years.

@c.hanna.berlin all the power to you I am not saying drugs are the way. I am saying evidence based medicine is the way to go. Depending on the issue and individual if it needs drugs can be months before the right drug and dosage is found. However, there are plenty of ways to find solutions that will utilize the placebo effect if you are unaware of how the body or basic science works.

It works. Nothing relaxing about it. The needles draw blood to an injury, and when you injure something that has few vascular systems like a tendon, it is very useful in healing the injury quickly. The difference is literally night and day in my experience. If anyone has an injury like a finger injury for example, they should consider acupuncture to heal it. It actually works.

There is also plenty of evidence out there that popular drugs are also heavily reliant on the placebo effect. Not all of course but there lots of studies showing that the placebo effect is as large and times larger than the drug itself. Just know what you put in your body! If acupuncture works for you, you can often reduce or eliminate pharmaceuticals.
