💭 We all have our systems and ways to get through hard times. We all have methods of coping with our experience in this world. We try to interpret and feel and process life, doing the best we can with what we know. ❤️ This is a song I started writing to try and capture the feeling or essence of depression. 🖤 I think there’s nothing worse than being trapped in your own mind when it feels self-tormenting or endless. But there’s nothing more freeing than seeing and being on the other side. 🌻 So here’s part of “coping mechanisms”.

fmd_gs the pressure is to heavy why is the life so unfair when i life the life fancy cars stacks of cash over the floor meanwhile war is happening on the other side why is the pressure uneven why do some carry so much wieght on there shoulder than they can handle without asking for help are we afraid of asking for help? are we afraid of the word NO....why we turn our back to the dark when the light is our biggest fear just a little match is even enought to light the darkest spot of someone but when the match is burnout we release it because??? it hurt our fingers right so the darkness of someone is our pain is that it? or are we just to much complaining about our own pain while the one sitting in the dark waits for you to light another match so they can see you suffer for them to help them no matter how much you burn your fingers the darkness you give with that to the one in need is painfuller than the match buring your finger the pain you feel to help someone in the dark is the smile of joy and happines on there face like soldiers.....get it....or do they feel the same pain that you feel...yes they do but why do they smile than because the match that burns there fingers lightens there darkness ..........

alicegreen5 Wow I love this! As someone who has been depressed this is beautiful and raw. I prefer this over your songs about boys because those sound a little juvenile while this sounds mature. Keep writing music and sharing it with us ♥️
