Hold on let me go ahead and write that out for emphasis because that’s how scared I was. I was scared as fuck. Playing pro volleyball and being near the top of the game made it absolutely terrifying to start over, from zero. But here’s the thing, at my core - beneath the fear and doubt - I believed in myself, in my dream, and I knew that the crazy work ethic and drive that got me where it did in sport could get me anywhere else, too. And it has. It is! . . I have these words from @yoga_girl printed out above my desk: Fight relentlessly for your dreams. Fight relentlessly for the life you want. No one is going to hand it to you on a silver platter. It won’t magically appear one day. You have to fight for that shit, every day. Get clear about what you want. Put it on paper. Dissect your dream into one hundred actionable little pieces you can actually get done. And then check them off, one. by. one. . . Since going to classes and getting accredited in design, I have worked my absolute ass off. I’ve checked at least a hundred actionable items off (and have hundreds more to go). I have goals scribbled all over notebooks and a vision for where I can take my business that is as clear as day. I’m IN it. Literally chasing a dream.
