The rebuild is trying to focus around building a new core of young players who can create a competitive franchise and a productive farm system, not a team that just makes the playoffs once then runs another drought. Plus with the last few starts he’s had and his year this year he boosted his trade value. A lot of the players we’ve traded have been guys I liked but it’s a necessary evil if the goal is to completely rebuild the entire organization.
