Sadamisaki Lighthouse sits on the westernmost point of Shikoku Island in Ehime Prefecture. With views across Hoyo Strait to Kyushu, the lighthouse began protecting ships along this narrow strip of water more than 100 years ago. 🚢 Around 50 km long and less than 1 km at its narrowest, Sadamisaki Peninsula has virtually no flat land. It’s a 20-minute walk to the lighthouse, with visitors rewarded on their arrival by an expanse of blue sky, sea and passing ships or, if timed right, a beautiful sunset. ☀️🌊🌅🧡
