Scene:
Alice and Shane are walking up to Bette’s door, just a delivery is arriving.
Alice: “Having some more art delivered?” Bette: “Yes, it’s a piece I got commissioned from by an extraordinarily talented artist Laurel Holloman, the piece is called “Cascading Memories”, and is truly breath-taking.” We pause for a minute on the 3 of them smiling at each, to give the fans a chance to appreciate the reference.
Shane: “Excellent...”
Shane then goes on to explain why Alice and herself are there.
You could actually commission the piece from Laurel and hang it on the set of Bette’s house for the duration of filming? Showing that although Laurel cannot be there in person, she is there in spirit.
This would be a huge acknowledgement of Laurel’s contribution to making The L Word the phenomenon it is today and show the fans what a versatile and exceptional artist she really is.
