@le_gaby_ The mere fact that women get paid less for doing the same job is absurd and the epitomy of sexism. Next, yes, some women tend to work less hours than men (although there have been researches where this has been taken into account and still the wage gap was evident) because our society makes them think it's their duty. Patriarchy makes women think they should be the care takers and not to pursue a career. That's sexism today. And no, I don't think it's ironic that the majority of women didn't want equal rights or were too afraid to express they did. Have you seen the posters about souffragettes back in the days? Society absolutely DRUGGED women to the dirt if they became feminists and started advocating for equal rights. And yea, the majority of people who voted for equality WERE men because back then only men could VOTE. For anything. At all. Women got the right to vote, by men who VOTED for their right to vote. No, I don't think it's one bit weird that not a lot of women were voting for equal rights back in the days since they didn't have a right to do so. Modern feminism represents the same values as old time feminism and if you don't agree, please do your research for feminism nowdays. The "Feminists hate men!" and "Feminists want to take all rights" and "Feminists want to be above men" misconceptions are not true and you can actually search online and see that that is EXACTLY what "antifeminists" said about suffragettes when feminism just became a thing. It's misinformation and propaganda that we've been dealing with for centuries. No, feminists don't hate men and "mansplaining" is sexist YEA, but it's not what we care the most for. Right now, we care about equal rights. Which we don't have. I mean shit, if you live in Alabama or soon Georgia you don't even have the right to your own body. That's it, that's all from me, modern feminism doesn't represent oppression, hatred and sexism it's the exact opposite it represents. Those are all misinformation and propaganda and I truly advise you on doing your research before talking about feminism in any era.

@le_gaby_ I never said that everyone should get paid the same based on their job or their performance. Work hours don't always correlate with performance. (I don't get what you mean by allegations). And yes, a lot of women back in the day were happy with their lack of rights because they never knew a life where they could have any. What are you saying? Of course some women didn't want change because they never knew what it's like to have rights and exercise them. Does that mean they don't deserve to have rights? Fuck no! Next, I don't know where you live girl, but feminism almost everywhere is being made up for people to think it's "manhating" and that women want to taje all rights to themselves. It's DEFINITELY not pushed down our throats, (although it should be, because honestly if you don't believe in equality, you HAVE to change your mind about it, idgaf if it's your "opinion", if your opinion is sexist, you should be made into changing your mind) but also... SURE, all men are 100% not pigs but... they ARE privileged. They do things that women can't do and the whole system is BUILT by them, for their needs and their values. That's why we're trying to change the system? And, sorry but by my account women being taken away the rights to their own bodies in one state (although other states are well and truly in their way to follow the disgusting footsteps of Alabama) is still fucking BAD. Haven't you heard that say injustice somewhere in the world is injustice everywhere? (And no, the right to choose what to do with your body and to have bodily autonomy is the EPITOMY of feminism) And what do you mean "in the end, women were allowed to vote"? So? Should we be given the right to vote and then not give a shit about all the other injustices our society has imposed on the female gender? Again, fuck no. And AGAIN, do you research and educate yourself on feminism nowadays because it's definitely not the misconceptions and propaganda (the same ones at the beginning of feminism) you've heard.

@_makeupbyelli_ So by your logic everyone should be paid the same based on the job and not their performance? That’s communism, and we all know that doesn’t end well it also contradicts everything feminism is about. Also please send links to those allegations, and let me rephrase what I said. A lot of women protested against it because they were happy and comfortable with their current lives and didn’t want change. Feminism and it’s meaning has changed dramatically over the years, and I would say quite the contrary, it’s constantly being pushed down our throats that all men are privileged and misogynistic pigs, and the media pushes that dangerous ideology when it’s completely far fetched and untrue. And if you don’t live in Alabama or Georgia, then you really don’t have a good argument there, because Abortion will always be accessible in other states and I doubt Cali is gonna get rid of abortion any time soon (Although I believe it’s completely anti - feminist, but that’s a conversation for another day). And ofc there were going to be ppl against it and making outrageous posters, but in the end, women were legally able to vote. And that’s when feminism actually stood for something and actually made a historic change. Now it’s all pussyhat women who don’t help those who are actually oppressed.

@le_gaby_ I'M proving YOUR point?😂😂 Hunny, you just said women and men shouldn't be equal, what you talking about😂😂 1. I already explained to you, why you're reciting propaganda and haven't actually done any research on feminism. I gave you actual arguments. Don't try to discredit that by saying it's just my opinion. 2. "Were they wrong to want that lifestyle?" HONEY, IF THEY DIDN'T KNOW ANY OTHER LIFESTYLE HOW COULD THEY HAVE KNOWN WHAT TO CHOOSE? AND YES, THEY WERE WRONG TO WANT TO HAVE NO RIGHT? Like, what are you talking about? "There were a few women who didn't want that kind of life"? A life with no rights, being treated like dirt? "And they should have that choice"? You do realize you CAN'T make a choice without knowing your options, right? You can't CHOOSE to have rights, when you've never known what it's like to HAVE them. It's like saying to a prisoner that has never been outside and has never talked to a person that has ever been outside either, if he'd rather stay in his prison or go outside while simultaneously telling him he'd have to get a job and he'd have to pay taxes and he'd have to be a part of a community AND giving him a shit tone of propaganda to go with it. Would the prisoner choose to go outside, or stay in his cell?

@_makeupbyelli_ God you sound so brainwashed and delusional. Never once have I said women should be treated like second class citizens. And boo you’re the last person to tell any one to do research since you haven’t given any prove yourself, still waiting on those links. And you must be some type of stupid if you think that women and men are exactly the same, that’s why I mentioned biology because women are more likely the caretakers in the situation and tend to prioritize family over work. And that’s not terrible, but somehow you’re insinuating it is. And I have yet to see the feminist movement helping women who are actually oppressed and being treated like shit by the system. You are one of the most privileged women out here, and honestly taking everything for granted while other women are being hit by their husbands and sent to prison for disobeying them.
le_gaby_
@_makeupbyelli_ Yes there’s a wage gap, but it’s not for the reasons you think. Women are more likely to take more days off and prioritize family over work. No it’s not because of their gender that they get paid less, it’s just because most men are more likely to pursue higher positions than women. And don’t you think it’s ironic how the majority of women didn’t want equal rights when feminism first became a thing? The majority who voted for equality were men. I no longer associate myself with modern feminism, because they represent oppression, hatred, and pure sexism. I definitely do think feminism is needed in places like the Middle East, where women are actually killed for speaking up, not because a man is ‘mansplaining’ or ‘manspreading’ and it hurts your feelings.
