Originally created in 1981 by manga artist Takahashi Yōichi, it quickly became one of the most popular and best-loved manga series in Japan, helping popularise the sport in the country.

When I was in boarding school in South America in the early 90s, this show was full on taking over. It was called Super Campeones and Oliver was Tsubasa. Loved it. They even made a World Cup version. All the episodes are on YouTube. Now watch it with my 4 yo son. He loves football more because of it.

With this animation I have many childhood memories👌 ... It only took a week for the captain to shoot at the goal ... It was funny that we had to wait a week for him to shoot !!!😂😂😂
