lightofdon Very disappointed in the way you shot Serengeti. A nature photographer is supposed to be a ghost, an invisible observer, and you had to try and be in the middle of the action like someone who has never been told about the rules of engagement. I love nature documentaries. I’m a PBS donor just to support their Nature and Nova programs. This Serengeti series is a giant piece of crap. I will tell everyone I know to never watch it. I saw 20 minutes and had to turn it off. FYI-You can tell the story of an outcast lion and her cubs without being an influence on your subjects. Your shots within 2 feet of their faces is an insult to all nature photographers who came before you with more class and skill. This isn’t a cartoon or animation....it’s real life...the story is compelling enough by itself. That is, if you knew what you were doing. Do you not have standards anymore?

samspeech111 Man, this first episode was so good!How Kali thought she could just sneak in some cubs from outside lions into the pride? And I felt bad when the momma hyena gave up her life for her scary daughter... And I was happy the older brother elephant stepped up to the plate to defend the family from lions.... And I loved when the male baboon adopted the orphaned baby baboon, who was the child of his beloved, who got hemmed up by that big ole snake.... drama! ☺😃
