Our first stop on our Rally on the road tour this year was Milwaukee Wisconsin. Brought dad along as he’s my health inspiration. He’s been a type one diabetic for 50 years and is stronger and healthier than most half his age. His secret? clean healthy diet, stays physically active and of course his happy spirit can’t hurt! My dad, even on his janitor wage, knew the importance of organic vegetables and grew his own garden annually. He turns 75 this year and I’m so grateful for all he’s taught me. He reminds me of my own Greek dad who is approaching his 88th birthday. Growing up in Greece and during the war he learned a natural way of eating. He had a restaurant here in the US for many years. I attribute his longevity to his eating. Don’t forget to eat “Horta” (dandelion green) and as my dad says, to drink the juice after boiling them. Lovely to share that about your Dad. My Mum is a type one diabetic too (since her 20s) and is 70 next year. She is in great health (apart from the sudden and unpredictable hypos) and I put it down to healthy diet & being active. I used to hate all the fresh veggies from the allotment growing up as my friends were eating processed packet food and like most children, I just wanted to fit in... now I get it!!! You dad happens to be the same age as my father-in-law, both of whom happen to be a year and a half younger than me. (wife is 21 years younger). My first daughter (from the first litter) says we don't have a family tree....... we have a family vine.

Imagine all the fun you’d have if they moved here to California with you. I love watching videos of them and you interacting. You have such a wonderful relationship with them. Your dad is pretty funny. Enjoy your dads company. 😊
