@notinuseanymoree11q I wouldn’t say made by everyone because I know a lot of stores that don’t carry xs, and brandy probably is just trying to market their clothes to people with no curves and more of a stick figure body, because I know from experience that (I am usually an s or m) old some stores make their clothes more for curvy people and I couldn’t fit into them, and that was really hard on my self esteem because I thought that I was the only girl that had no curves whatsoever and it made me hate my body. BUT i’m not trying to defend or justify anything so please don’t take any of this the wrong way. I’m just trying to share my point of view. :))

@midjalinscheer you sound like you’re the first one to say “include all body types” and praise companies that are made specifically for plus sized people but the second a store markets toward skinny girls you hate because its not size inclusive. how can we have “body positivity” when clearly that never includes underweight/skinny girls since everyone seems to think we dont get offended or hurt when you drag us down or criticize the way we look. I understand it’s frustrating that brandy only has one size, but it never says one size fits all. their target market is skinny girls, no need to bring them down bc not everyone looks like them

@dablank.12 that’s dumb as hell. literally anything can be triggering for somebody with those problems. the original comment is literally a normal ass comment. i’d understand if people were directly talking about their experience with a disorder, but this clearly isn’t that. this isn’t something people should be silencing themselves about simply because somebody might be triggered by it. their problems are valid and they should be able to share without all of this unnecessary shit going on.

@erin.zabriskie this is different plus size stores still have multiple sizes bc there is not just one “plus size” besides there are still girls that are to small for brandy so it’s not the same.plus I’m pretty skinny/average sized and I can barely squeeze into it...it’s just to unrealistic...And as bad as it sounds brandy is still promoting unrealistic beauty standards bc small and skinny is the more desirable body type.So no brandy is not the same as a plus sized store

@erin.zabriskie i get where your coming from but even if we can fit into their cloths but if someone isn’t super skinny blonde and white they feel judged by the workers and if you were just going there with a friend and you weren’t buying anything they would still judge you we see where your coming from but they should have other models than skinny white blonde models and they should train the employees to accept everyone who walks into their stores

@dablank.12 i understand why people with such problems might be triggered by this. however, telling people to basically silence themselves because somebody might react poorly isn’t right. they should feel free to voice their struggles and even find others who can relate to them. you should just stop commenting under comments like the original one. it’s unnecessary and you’re quite close to being someone who invalidates other people’s problems.
