I have been an Asics customer since 2007. I have worn their shoes because of the comfort, fit and support they give me is exceptional. That being said I am also a strong believer in Customer Service and doing what is right. I came to the Asics outlet and was told they had a buy one get one 80% off. I ask if their were any exclusions, the salesperson told me that the keyanos I was looking at were part of it. I asked if they had any in a size 14 and she went and pulled one out of a closet. After trying to find another pair I settled on a pair of gt2000 as the only other one in a 14. I was told the keyanos would be full price of 160 and the gt2000 would be the 80% off. After trying them out for a while I decided to get them and went to pay. At that point we realized the shoes were not ringing the correct price for the 80% off. The sales person called a manager who said the keyanos I had were the 26 and not the 25 and we're not part of the deal. I said i don't understand as I was told they were and on top of that I'm not asking for a discount on them I'm paying full price. The GT2000 are the ones that would be discontinued. They said I would have to get a pair of the 25( which they didn't have the color I wanted in my size). This made no sense to me since I was told they were included by the salesperson who even said that she did. In addition the Keyanos 25 and 26 were both 160 dollars meaning that I would be paying Asics the same amount of money regardless and again I'm paying full price for the keyanos and just wanted the GT2000 for the correct discount. The manager preceded to call someone on the phone then came back and said they could not honor the price I was told. The price that would literally be the same for the other shoe since they were both the same price and they didn't have the other shoe, the price that I'm paying the full 160 for and didn't want a discount on the first shoe. So at that point I walked out and went to Nike and bought a pair. I have been a longtime Asics customer but I believe a brand is represented by it's people and yesterday left a terrible taste with me. I do not know if I will buy another pair of Asics after that.
