Yesterday I popped into the @hambofoundation Get Busy Living Centre. I've heard about the centre and the amazing work they do there and needed to see it for myself. And I was blown away. Absolutely amazing.
Their aim it is to provide advice, advice, support , relief and or treatment for anyone suffering serious injury or disability which has arisen from any cause, but in particular from participation in or training any sport, sporting activity or recreation.
Huge thanks to Darrel, Tony and (the main man himself) Matt for showing me round and see the amazing work you guys continue to do.
Check them out! http://www.matthampsonfoundation.org/

Has a girl that has one small disability and I have a 5 y/o cousin that can’t eat, talk, walk and speak, she lives in Norway and I live in Australia and my family flew to Norway bc of my cousin and when I went to stay at my cousins house for two weeks , she gotten used to me being there and after a week every time she hears my name she instantly smiles and laugh, an I usually help my aunty and uncle with her like push her on her week chair and help put her in the van. I think people with disabilities are very unique and cool, people with disabilities are nice, also my friend can’t walk probably and she gets bullied a lot and I stick up to her bc she’s my best friend and I care for people with disabilities as if me having ADD.

The most important lesson I have learned from my hand/wrist disabilities...it’s ok to be angry. Validate the negatives. In my time it revealed another path so incredibly worthy of stepping into the fire for. Embrace all of the emotions and don’t hold back. The release and reveal are so powerfully healing. In addition to great minds of medicine, NATURE is also an amazing healer. #getoutside #767galleyswillcrushyou #steadmanclinicvail #culturallymodifiedtrees #phd #protectmaunakea #stillstandingwithstandingrock #respect #preservation #nativeamerican #indigenous #justice

I'm so proud of you....you manage to make the world a better place. Injury from training any sport is not easy to accept. It can make you feel sad or angry, so thanks for the support you give. I wish you all the best, and please never stop bringing light into lives of those who are most unlucky. Thank you so much for being exactly what I need❤️

That sounds amazing! My first seizure occurred during basketball practice and still (15 years later) continue to have them during cardio. Took us 10 years to connect that dot. Why why though? Zero clue. P.S. you rock those strips and the color.

I was born with a disability (not sure if I count). Have Spina Bifida and am in a wheelchair. But good for you @jamesphelps_pictures I like to see others trying to understand that everyone is different. Not just assuming.
